Born From Experience, Built for the People
Our journey began in grief—but became a mission to make the legal system more human, accessible, and just.
Our Story
Our organization was born from a deeply personal and transformative experience—the passing of our father, Ricardo Batista, who was tragically killed in 2017. During that incredibly difficult time, we were forced to navigate a complex, often confusing legal system with very little support or guidance. From that hardship came purpose. We created this organization to ensure that others don’t have to face the same struggles in silence.

What Makes Us Different

Advocacy & Uplifting Communities
Our Work in Action
From legal literacy to community upliftment, our programs are designed to give people tools, confidence, and clarity. Many of our interns are from the same communities we serve—and leave with real skills and a renewed sense of purpose.
Rooted in Culture and Community
As proud Latinas and first-generation professionals, we understand the barriers that prevent people from seeking legal help. We've lived them. And that lived experience is our strength.
This is more than legal work. It’s personal.
Why We Exist
We’re building a bridge between people and justice—one that includes everyone. This isn’t charity—it’s equity. It’s justice. It’s love in action.
