Paralegal Mentorship and Workforce (“PMWP”)

A message from the Co-founders

Latinas remain one of the most underrepresented groups in the legal profession, currently constituting only 2% of all lawyers, despite comprising nearly 1 in 5 women in the United States. While there has been significant growth in the percentage of Latinas pursuing legal careers in recent years, the number who advance, stay, or thrive in the legal profession remains a minority.

As the Co-founders of Paralegals FTC, Inc., we take immense pride in our journey as pioneers in the Paralegal profession, consistently demonstrating professional excellence. Our commitment to excellence has not only earned us nominations and awards but has also established a remarkable track record of contributing to the betterment of our community. Through our dedicated efforts, we have influenced aspiring Latinas to pursue legal careers, fostering growth and empowerment through our internship and mentorship programs.

Furthermore, our dedication to community impact extends to the educational realm. By hosting students, we provide exposure to new opportunities within the legal field, aiming to broaden their horizons and inspire future professionals. This is what has led us to develop The Paralegal Mentorship & Workforce Program (PMWP); an accredited online course, dedicated to help Latinas shatter the glass ceiling and secure advancement and long-term success in the legal world. These endeavors reflect our ongoing commitment to pushing the boundaries of excellence in the legal field and empowering individuals just like us to thrive in their legal careers.

With this program, we. dedicate ourselves to breaking barriers, fostering inclusivity, and continuing our mission to inspire, uplift, and create lasting change within the legal profession and beyond.

Sincerely,
Swannie Batista-Gil & Rachel Batista-McChain
